The Bentley Studio is named after Bentley, our cat. As a natural part of both the family and the home, Bentley highlighted a simple problem: most cat furniture rarely belongs naturally in a design-conscious interior.

What began as a practical need developed into a design studio built around a clear idea — furniture for cats should be designed with the same care, consideration, and aesthetic intent as furniture for people.

Mon (Møn)

The studio is rooted in an old farmhouse from 1915 on the Danish island of Mon, surrounded by open fields, forests, and coastline. Nature is a constant presence — wind, salt, changing light, and seasons — and directly influences how I think about materials, durability, and form.

Things should last. They should be honest, solid, and rooted in their material logic. This approach runs through all my work.

The work - furniture first

Each piece is unique, shaped by nature and designed first and foremost as furniture. Proportion, balance, and material choice are essential to every design.

The aim is to create calm, well-made furniture that sit naturally in the home while standing up to daily use by curious, active cats.

About me

I’m Peter, a graphic designer turned furniture maker.

A long-standing understanding of layout, composition, and contrast forms the foundation of a visually restrained and functional approach to form — where every detail has a purpose.

The Bentley Studio brings together design discipline with craftsmanship and material understanding. All furniture is handmade to order by me in my workshop.
